The latest collaboration that has our heads turning happens to come from a team of wonderfully talented Australian designers. On the one hand is Marina Afonina, founder of the brilliant label, Albus Lumen (translated to “white light”) and is based on clean, fresh and simple designs made from high-end fabrics that become long-lasting staples within your wardrobe. On the other side is jeweler and designer Ryan Storer. Having founded his line in 2012, he also loves to keep a clean aesthetic while being heavily influenced by art and nature, he loves working within different mediums in order to display new interpretations of his signature season after season.
With both designers focused aesthetics aligned – that of using precious materials in a non-busy format – a sculptural collection of earrings, cuffs and necklaces were created featuring the raw forms that lay along the coast line. For instance, multi-colored shells lay at the end of asymmetrical gold chokers while gold plated drop earrings consist of contrasting motifs (some with shells, some without) to keep the collection intriguing yet light and airy.
